I had a class in Houston - Pepe', came in for a couple of days. I was done with class before noon on thursday the 5th. For something to do - I checked the events, and found that the Body Works tour was still there. I was soooooooo excited. We went to the Museum of Natural Science spent like 6 hours there and went through the exhibit. We then had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown. Complete with a $65 parking ticket - yes they will be getting a personal letter with pictures of the area NOT marked for no parking, and a non-functioning parking meter - rastards!!! Our friend Maureen came and met us there, and we went to a Traveling Burlesque show. Different, something new to do. Well, this was in the 'adult bookstore' part of town. The "bar" was upstairs from the local tattoo and piercing parlor. Tough -tough crowd.... wow... no pushing up to the front of the stage there. Maureen is a big John Wayne fan, and the M C for the show - did some John Wayne, Maureen tells me 'oh looks like the good the bad and the ugly, all in one place' I was like "and the maimed, mutilated, and branded along with them". It was actually a very entertaining show. It was the typical side show freaks, playing with fire and eating light bulbs, along with a couple of burlesque shows. The second link pretty much sums up the entire show.
